Do you think new technologies, such as drones and facial recognition, are a positive development or a threat to society?

There’s an upside and a downside to new technologies. New techonolgies makes the U.S look more powerful and smarter. Many people believe that smartphones are destroying the new generation. The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies cell phone radiation as a “possible human carcinogen” because of a increased risk of brain cancer from long-term and a lot of use of cell phones (Rong Wang). Cellphones can be very damaging on brains, yet its easier for use to communicate with one another. Technology can get out of hand. Such as many jobs are taken away because of technology. Robots could take over 20 million jobs by 2030 (Chloe Taylor).
