Do the reasons for going to war and/or the results of the war justify the loss of life?

There were many causes for World War 2. One cause was Japan invading Manchuria in 1931 and China in 1937. Also, it started in 1939 when Nazi invaded Poland. The war lasted for 6 years until the Allies defeated Germany and Japan in 1945 (History.com). Over 405,000 Americans died in this war (Philip Bump). I believe that the lives lost are sort of justifiable. Hitler was a very dangerous man, he needed to be put out of control. But also, there were so many lives lose just because of one man. It’s not fair. People give their lives for this country, when they weren’t the reason for the war.
